Tammy Ruth Bauman Phillips

October 7, 1962 – June 3, 2022

Tammy Ruth Bauman was born October 7, 1962, to George Luis and Mary Faye (Brown). She grew up in varying parts of Polk County, spending her remaining years in Lakeland, Florida before being reunited with her parents in death June 3, 2022.

In addition to her parents and bonus dad, Barry Andrew, Tammy was preceded in death by brothers,

Randy J and David L, and infant son, John Allen, among other loved ones. She is survived by her life partner, Richard, her brother, Charles “Rick”, and sister, Debra, daughters, Jennifer Marie, Amanda Sue and MaryJo Beth, and bonus children, RC, James, David, Kimberley, and Danielle and each of their respective spouses. Tammy has 23 grandchildren, both biological and bonus, as well as countless other family members, friends and loved ones.

Tammy was a strong, outspoken woman, as well as vibrant, outgoing and above all, loving. While she was never afraid to speak her mind, she also believed laughter to be the best medicine and would try to leave smiles upon the faces of those she met. As many would agree, Tammy never met a person she

didn’t know, instead you became family! From all throughout school, to working in the service industry, to church, she was a magnet for people. She was someone who was easy to talk to, the type of person you felt you could spill your heart and soul to and know she would listen to your story, offering advice or an inspirational message where she could.

As kind and loving as Tammy was to those friends she adopted as family, she was even more fierce as a partner, mother, and grandmother. You may not have always seen eye to eye with her, but her love never diminished! Not only did you know when she was upset with you, you also knew how proud she was or how loved you were. She was as real as real could possibly get.

Tammy was known by many, loved by all. She has been cherished by countless people in life, as she will be missed beyond words in death. Her memory shall be carried on, held close to the hearts of all she has left behind.
