Robert Sheldon Falcetti, Sr., 75,

of Lakeland passed away on July 9, 2021 in Lakeland, Florida.

Bob was born in Westfield, MA to John Paul Falcetti, Sr. and Maria (Sheldon) Falcetti on September 10, 1945. He was a graduate of Westfield Vocational High School. He married Susan Jane Wantuch on December 2, 1967 in Westfield, MA. He was a veteran and proudly served in the United States Army’s 56th Aviation Company between 1965-1967 achieving the rank of Sergeant (T) E-5.

Following his active duty service, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve until 1971. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, he worked as an electrician for Clark and Falcetti. He would remain in the electrical trade his entire career and worked domestically and internationally for Brown & Root in Yemen and Saudi Arabia. His career path brought him to Lakeland, FL where he retired from the City of Lakeland Electric’s C.D. McIntosh Power Plant as Plant Manager.

He loved serving his fellow veterans and was a member of American Legion Post 4 in Lakeland where he served as Post Commander 2014-2015. Bob was also a charter member of Legion Riders Post 4. He also donated his time at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2297 in Lakeland.

He is preceded in death by a daughter Roberta Falcetti, a brother John Paul Falcetti, Jr. and sister Evelyn.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Susan and his children Robert Falcetti, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Plantsville, CT; Aimee May and husband Tim of Winter Haven, FL; Marcie Cale and husband Glenn of Auburndale, FL; and Mark Falcetti and wife Rebecca of Southport, NC. Brothers and sisters Charles, Rosemary, Patricia, Richard, James, Marie and Emilia. Grandchildren Kathryn, Noah, Sarah, Joshua, Justin, Emily, Gracie, Julia, Anthony, Austin, Alyssa and Alexander. Great-grandchildren Joshua, Isaiah and Noah and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday July 15 at David Russell Funeral Home, 2005 S. Bartow Rd., Lakeland, FL.

Military Funeral Honors and burial will be held at a later date at Florida National Cemetery.
