Myrtle Florence VanBrummelen, 79 years young, met her Savior on April 15, 2024.
Myrtle VanBrummelen was born in upstate NY on September 20, 1944, and grew up there until she met and married Peter in 1970. Peter and Myrtle moved with their 3 children to Florida in 1978. Myrtle had a pure servant’s heart and lived for her Family and Jesus, keeping Jesus as her center of gravity as she was for her Family. A faithful member of Mulberry 1st Assembly of God where she worked for many years as their bookkeeper, a joyful member of the choir and served at every opportunity. Later, Myrtle worked at Scott Lake Baptist Church and Community 1st Credit Union before she retired.
A survivor of Breast and Bone Cancer, and many health issues in her final days, she never lost her Faith in the Lord, her positive attitude, or her genuine smile. Her love for her Family and Friends was unwavering and infectious to all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her Father, Donald Richardson, her Mother, Mary Richardson and her Brother, Clarence Richardson.
Myrtle is survived by her loving Husband of 53 years, Peter VanBrummelen, her children, John VanBrummelen (Dely), Christine Simmons, and Carolyn Vaughan (Grant). Her Grandchildren, Kaylee Spina (Michael), John Michael, Grace Vaughan, Trent Simmons, and Gabe Vaughan and 5 Great Grandchildren. Myrtle was one of 8 children and is survived by her siblings, Donald Richardson, Nancy VanBrummelen, Mary Lou Bettis, Carol Richardson, Bob Richardson (Linda) and Peter Richardson (Donna).
