Remembering Morgan Miles
May 28, 2000–July 20, 2024

With great sadness we announce the passing of Morgan Ashley Miles, 24, of Lakeland, Florida. Morgan, a loving pre-school teacher, was the much-loved daughter of Laurie Miles of Lakeland and Todd Miles of Marianna, Florida.

Morgan was known for her great compassion, devotion to children and animals, and faith in God. Her sensitivity and empathy were matched by her keen sense of humor.

A 2018 graduate of Mulberry High School, Morgan went on to work toward her AS in earlychildhood education at Polk State College and attained her Florida Child Care Professional Credential in 2023. She worked for three years in pre-schools locally.

Known for her bright smile and enthusiasm for Taylor Swift, Morgan, a true Florida girl, delighted in all things Disney to the point of installing a Disney room in her house. A lover of adventure and travel, Morgan enjoyed trips with her family to destinations as far as Cuba and as near as the the Lakeland Downtown Farmers Curb Market. Friends and family will especially miss her warmth, kindness, shared memes, Poshmark savvy, and spontaneous gifts. A raconteur in the Southern tradition, Morgan could entertain with her reviews of books recently read and humorous tales of her experiences at work and play.

Morgan is survived by, in addition to her parents, her brother, Dalton; her grandparents, Edward and Sue Thrower of Lakeland and Ralph and Melba Miles of Marianna; and her step-mother Catherine.

A celebration of Morgan’s life will be held at Beacon Hill Fellowship, 220 W. Beacon Rd., Lakeland, FL. 33803 on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Morgan’s name to SPCA Florida: https://www.spcaflorida.org
