Kathleen Marie Kennedy Salisbury

Kathleen (Kathy) Kennedy Salisbury was born Sept 12-1954 and left this earth on July 2, 2023.

Kathy was born in Syracuse, New York and lived there until 1963, when her mother moved her and her four siblings to Lakeland, Florida, to be closer to their grandmother who lived in Avon Park, FL.

Kathy attended Winston Elementary, Kathleen Junior High and graduated from Kathleen High School in 1972. After graduating high school, Kathy began her working career and had the privilege to work for many great companies. She completed her working years as a paraprofessional for the Polk County School District. Kathy was always grateful for the lifelong friendships she gained throughout her career.

In 1976, Kathy met William (Bill) Salisbury, the love of her life. Bill and Kathy were married in May, 1981. Bill has loved his “Toots” through sickness and in health, and she will remain in his heart forever.

Kathy had a deep love for God, her Billy, her family, her animals, and this country. She was passionate about ALL Classic Rock music, Fox News and her favorite Soap Operas. Kathy took pride in and enjoyed cooking her favorite foods; potato soup, pole beans, collard greens and macaroni salad. 

She was blessed with the gift of verbal communication. However, her true gift was her written communication of timely cards, letters, and poems that were always a source of encouragement.

Kathleen is proceeded in death by her parents, John Michael Kennedy and Bernice LeChien Kennedy, her grandparents, Harold and Florence LeChien.

Kathleen is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, William Salisbury, siblings Sherrie Ann Kaminski, Portland, ME, Shannon Kennedy-Syracuse, NY, John K Kennedy, Avon Park, FL, Brian Kennedy, Avon Park, FL, Michael Kennedy, Lakeland, FL, Lynn Kennedy Kensinger, Lakeland, FL, and many deeply loved nieces and nephews.

Kathy, you are loved and will live forever in our hearts!
