Angela Ruth Higbee

Angela Ruth (Hester) Higbee, 58, passed away peacefully on Thursday November 3rd, 2022 at her home in Lakeland, Florida.

Angela (Angie) Higbee was born on October 12, 1964 in Searcy, Arkansas and was a long-time resident of Polk County, Fl, most of which was spent in Lakeland. Angie was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed the Florida beaches and skyline. She was fiercely independent and a hard worker, spending many years in retail. Angie was passionate about and made a career of taking care of her children and was a constant presence in the lives and upbringing of her grandchildren.

Other interests included family fishing trips to the Gulf of Mexico, reading, and a love of music. Some of her favorite musicians included Journey, Ed Sheeran, and Jimmy Buffet. Angie was always happiest surrounded by her family. Angie believed in God and was of the Christian faith.

Angie is preceded in death by her Mother, Vollie Franks, Brother, Stephen Hester, Brother, Kennith Hester, and Grandson, Marshal Alderman. She is survived by her children, Donald Hester (April Rodgers), Raymond Gough, and Nicole Higbee (Richey Fehringer). Angie was blessed to be survived by and adored by 11 grandchildren. Angie is also survived by three siblings: Brother, Leonard Hester, Sister, Robin Hester, and Sister, Vicki Halloway.

Memorial Service and Internment to be announced as determined.
