Rosalie Mae Shank, Age 76

Rosalie Mae Shank was born June 22, 1941 in Pennsylvania. She went home to be with the Lord on November 18, 2017.  Rosalie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.  Rosalie was preceded in her homegoing by the love of her life, Richard Leroy Shank Sr.  Rosalie is survived by her six children, Mona Lisa Shank (daughter), Crickette Trask (Richard Trask), Tifanny Penton (Frank Penton), Heidi Shank-Bridges (John Bridges), Richard Shank Jr., Shane Shank (Angela Shank).  She is also survived by her sister, Lynda Lockard, and her brother Robert Hinkle of Pennsylvania.  Rosalie had 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

In her younger years, Rosalie worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Cumberland County Nursing Home for 30 years. Rosalie was also an Emergency Medical Technician with Cumberland County Firehouse #40 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.  After moving to Florida in 1983, Rosalie became a caregiver for many individuals.  Rosalie will always be remembered for her desire and ability to care for and about others.  She has passed that legacy on to her children who will no doubt pass that on to their children and their children's children.

While Rosalie will be greatly missed here on earth, there is comfort and peace in knowing that her family and friends will meet up with her again and walk around heaven together.
