Rosa Herminia Goris was born December 17, 1932 in the Dominican Republic to Carlos and Baldomera Goris. Rosa went home to be with the Lord on October 21, 2018 in Lakeland, Florida.
Rosa is preceeded in her homegoing by her parents. She is succeded by her children, grandchildren, neices, nephews and many extended family members as well.
It was in 1954 that Rosa fulfilled her goal of coming to the United States and being a U.S. Citizen.
Since coming to America, Rosa has become a great advocate for young women in the Dominician culture. She encourages them to educate themselves, become career minded and live a faith filled life. Rosa used her life experiences to teach, encourage and empower so many young ladies and helped them become so much more than they ever thought they could be.
Rosa was known by many as a strong, fierce, firey woman. She was a very hard worker and had a great work ethic, which she passed down from generation to generation. Rosa is a woman who believed in herself and she showed others the power of believing in themselves as well.
Above all else, Rosa was a woman of God, she committed her life to Christ and nothing was more important to her than God and family.
To say the least, Rosa will be missed my everyone who ever knew her whether that be family or friend.
