Onilda (Aleman) Estremera

Onilda Estremera age 84, passed away peacefully on June 25th 2019 in her own bed where she lived with her daughter and son in law Iraida & Luis Skerrett. She lived a long life full of love, laughter and family. Onilda was born on May 27th 1935 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to Belen Estremera and Tomas Aleman. Being one of seven children, Onilda learned the meaning of love and family at a young age.

Onilda Estremera married to Federico Estremera and had three children Sergio, Isabelita & Iraida Estremera. She devoted her life to her family as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and a wonderful friend. Nothing meant more to her than to care for her family and those that she loved. She made herself available to others around her in their time of need. Onilda was a compassionate, loving soul who always put the needs of others above her own.  

Onilda is survived by her 3 children, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and 2 brothers. 

Outside of loving and caring for her family she also enjoyed her free time by playing card games, domino's, sewing, knitting and embroidery. She also enjoyed being outside and going for what seemed like long walks to the park with all her grandchildren's and a few neighborhood kids. Onilda enjoyed  bringing family and friends together through such amazing food, you could taste the love she put into every meal.  She was beautiful in every way imaginable and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
