Thomas ‘T.J.’ Adcox

Thomas Joe “T.J.' Adcox passed away April 8, 2016, in Lakeland, Fla. T.J. was born Feb. 10, 1957, in Newport, Ark., to Bea and Joe Adcox.

In 1970, the family moved to Bartow, Fla., where T.J. attended school, graduating from Bartow High School in 1975. After school, he had a career as a professional dancer in St. Augustine, Fla.; Toronto, Canada; Las Vegas and New York, as well as other cities.

He returned to Florida in 1982 and worked in Lakeland with his mother at What’s New Consignment Shop and P’zazz Clothing Store.

T.J. was very active in school and community activities in Lakeland and Bartow.

He was preceded in death by his father, his sister Karon, and his stepfather Al Graham.

He is survived by his mother Bea Graham, stepbrother David Graham, and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday April 16th at David Russell Funeral Home, 2005 Bartow Road in Lakeland at 4 p.m. Parking in front and rear of the funeral home.
