"Buz" Buser, 86

Buz Buser, of Annapolis Maryland, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 in Lakeland Florida following a brief illness.

As was his wish, there will be no funeral service, but a “gathering party” of his friends and family will celebrate his life on a beautiful day this coming spring at the home of his lifelong friends in Annapolis. Renowned for his stories and ability to talk on any subject, Buz had a large group of friends who loved him and who meant the world to him. He made friends wherever he went.

Born in Hammond, Indiana to Henry and Rose Buser, Buz attended college before serving in the Air Force. He was a successful salesman for two major corporations. After his retirement from corporate life, Buz engaged in several entrepreneurial pursuits including a successful bakery in the Annapolis area that was once featured in The Wall Street Journal for its novel approach to Gingerbread men (and women).

Buz was an avid and skillful sailor and raced with winning teams on the Chesapeake. He lived simply, but loved spending each year across his three homes: Annapolis for the spring and fall, Del Ray Beach in the winter and Bethany Beach for the summer. Wherever he was, there would be good friends and good times. He also loved the Redskins, reading non-fiction and spending entire mornings reading the newspaper cover to cover.

Buz is survived by his three children, Kathleen McHale (Robert), Jeff Buser and Amy Schmidt (Michael), five beautiful, intelligent granddaughters and six adorable great-grandchildren, his brother, David and his sister, Barbara Bowman, and the many, many friends who will keep his stories and memory alive for years to come.
